Exit Sofia and Head South (Bulgaria)
Start from the center of Sofia heading towards the ring road (Софийски околовръстен път).
Join the Struma Motorway (A3 / E79) heading south towards Blagoevgrad.
Drive on the A3 for approximately 90 kilometers, passing through Pernik and Dupnitsa.
Exit the A3 at the Simitli / Bansko exit to join Provincial Road 19 (Route 19).
Via Bansko to the Border
Follow Route 19 passing through the mountain pass towards Bansko and Gotse Delchev.
Continue south after Gotse Delchev to the village of Ilinden, which is the Bulgarian border post
Border Crossing & Entry into Greece
Cross the border at the Ilinden – Countryside checkpoint.
Enter the Drama – Kato Nevrokopi National Road (EO57).
Head south towards the city of Drama, passing near Kato Nevrokopi.
From Drama to Peliti
Upon reaching Drama, follow the signs to Xanthi to enter the Drama – Xanthi National Road (EO14).
Drive east for approximately 38 km to Paranesti.
Turn left at the exit for Thysavros Dam, Peliti is on the left side of the road at the first intersection, it has a metal trash can outside.
By plane
We recommend taking a plane to Thessaloniki Thessaloniki Airport “Macedonia” SKG and from there by road to Paranesti. At Thessaloniki Airport there is a bus to the city center that stops at the train station and the intercity bus station KTEL where you can take the bus to Drama.
The closest airport to Peliti is in Chrysoupoli, Kavala KVA. If you use this airport, you can take a taxi to Peliti or rent a car.
By Bus
You can come directly by bus from Sofia to Drama. There are daily, direct routes that operate this route, connecting the two cities.
