It is with great joy and gratitude that I accept the invitation to participate in the “World Congress for the Defense of Mother Earth”, which will be held in Caracas, Venezuela, on October 8, 9 and 10, 2025, in the context of COP30 and in connection with the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the Decree of the Liberator Simón Bolívar, issued on December 19, 1825, in Chuquisaca, Bolivia, which mandates the reforestation of degraded areas, the protection of natural resources and their sustainable use.
Excerpt from the invitation.
“…..Faced with this critical cultural crisis in which predatory capitalism threatens the existence of our planet, it is imperative that the forces of advanced peoples and governments unite even more to continue building a dynamic and unified response based on the principles of social justice, grassroots ecology and international solidarity. Combating the climate crisis requires every effort to organize, educate and take concrete action. The peoples of the world and governments that are sincerely concerned about the impacts of climate change must take a step forward. This pluralistic space will allow us to address critical issues affecting the planet, integrating scientific, political, social, economic, spatial, territorial and cultural perspectives, in order to reflect on their causes and propose concrete actions to address the global climate crisis, such as the climate crisis and the dominant socio-economic model, the biodiversity at risk, the rights of Mother Earth, socio-environmental conflicts and human rights, pollution and waste, sustainable economy, environmental education and culture, intergenerational justice and youth, as well as international alliances and concrete actions. We would be honored to have you participate in the aforementioned event.”
